Online payments facilitator Neteller has added more local European languages, currencies and payment options to its payment suite of products. The Neteller e-wallet product is now available to new members based in Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia and Slovenia, with Bulgaria and Romania to follow in the near future.
The product now allows consumers to top up their Neteller accounts via Carte Bleue, Carta Si, DirectPay24, Ukash and the POLi/UK consumer Internet bank payment service, as well as all the existing card and non-card methods, the company said.
The company also recently enabled Hungarian and Polish subscribers to deposit funds in their local currencies. This follows the success of the introduction of the local currency option for Swedish and Norwegian Krone; between 60% and 70% of new customers in Sweden and Norway open their accounts in their local currency rather than in euros or dollars, the company said.
