However, users should remember that the speed at which blocks are mined may vary, and that forks are not scheduled for a specific time. Instead, they are linked to the 7 280,000th block of Ethereum, as mentioned above.
While the community hopes to see a simple integration of updates, there is little uncertainty regarding hard forks. Constantinople was already delayed from its original date of January 16, 2019 due to the sudden discovery of a critical flaw, and although it was resolved, it is quite possible that in case of any unexpected vulnerabilities another delay could be declared.
