According to Reuters Dow Jones has announced its employees about its plans to freeze their salaries due to the prolonged economic downturn. The announcement has been made via memo sent by CEO of Dow Jones Les Hinton: “…the one-year freeze is part of efforts to look for ways to save money. It does not cover staff working under union agreements, but the company is seeking an equivalent freeze for those employees.”
According to Les Hinton such measures “would help mitigate future possible job cuts.”
