NO PROFIT ON MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY

Many HYIPs celebrate all holidays in the calendar and accordingly interest is never accrued on those days because according to their legends they are involved in US markets and have a right to announce those days non-trading.

Some of our readers might not know a lot about this holiday therefore I decided to explain a little. Today on Monday, January 17, 2011 is a United States federal holiday marking the birthday of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This holiday is held on the third Monday of January each year, which is around the time of King's birthday, January 15. It celebrates the life and achievements of Martin Luther King Jr., an influential American civil rights leader. He is most well-known for his campaigns to end racial segregation on public transport and for racial equality in the United States.

King was the chief spokesman for nonviolent activism in the civil rights movement. He actively and successfully protested racial discrimination in federal and state law. Martin Luther King was assassinated on the evening of April 4, 1968, while standing on the balcony of his motel room in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was to lead a protest march in sympathy with striking garbage workers of that city. The campaign for a federal holiday in King's honor began soon after his assassination in 1968. However, it was officially observed in all 50 states only in 2000.

Martin Luther King Day is a relatively new federal holiday. It is a day when equal rights for all Americans, regardless of their background are promoted. Some educational establishments teach their students about the work of Martin Luther King and his struggle against racial segregation and racism. In recent years, federal legislation has encouraged Americans to give some of their time on this day as volunteers in citizen action groups.

We hope there will be no racism in our world in the future and the active struggle of Martin Luther King will never be forgotten.
