In May 2015 on the conference Google IO 2015, Google is planning to present the customers with the new system of mobile payments Android Pay, API of which will be available for third party developers.
Android Pay will allow companies to add the mobile payment option into the applications, where users can enter the payment card details.
Apart from that Android Pay will make it possible to make transactions from offline merchants. This feature is based on HCE technology and is supposed to work on Android-based devices with the NFC chip included.
Currently Google Wallet API is available for the developers and allows the button "Buy with Google" to be inserted into the applications. Nevertheless, by now it's hard to say if Google Wallet API will remain functioning after the launch of Android Pay.
Let us remind you that Google expands the mobile payment services by means of pre-installed application Google Wallet on smartphones, sold by the largest US telecommunication companies, including AT&T Mobility, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless.
