Another take-over of a long-range start-up by one of the biggest large-caps in the world of crypto-currencies occurred. As the news broke the Chinese miners producer Bitmain (working on behalf of such brands as Antminer, Antpool and Hashnest) purchase the well-known Dutch start-up Blocktrail, offering the wallet and Bitcoin block observer. The notice of the sale was sent to all customerss of Bitmain, it also appeared in the Blocktrail blog.
The Bitmain company aims for growing and business diversification, and some months ago it managed to launch the service called BTC.com, providing similar services and connected with other Bitmain related projects. Blocktrail services will keep on working without changes, though the will b now be only a part of BTC.com project.
So, the extension of the global Chinese crypto-currency companies, covering various parts of the market, continues. The first one to follow this route was BTCC (used to be BTC China), which turned from an ordinary cryptocurrency exchange to a conglomerate, providing a whole range of services, connected with Bitcoin.
Bitmain now also has a whole range of services: chips and mining hardware production, one of largest mining pools worldwide, cloud mining platform, and now they are in with the online wallet and Blockchain observer with the stats tool set. Besides, taking into consideration positive attitude of the Dutch authorities to Bitcoin, Bitmain gets opportunity to enter the European market of cryptocurrency services with the help of Blocktrail.
