Demand for digital money has increased by 28%, assures consulting department of one of the leading online exchangers Trainex speaking about its recent survey on growing popularity of the payment processors conducted within a period of June-December of 2008. The main purpose of the survey was to compare demand for exchange of cash to electronic money in June and December. It was discovered that people more and more prefer exchanging their hard money to digital units.
Some highlights of the survey conducted by Trainex:
- Demand for WebMoney has grown by 31%
- For LibertyReserve by 16,2%
- For e-passporte by 24%
- Demand for Perfect Money has increased by 32,5%
Survey has also covered other currencies but they are not popular outside Russia.
Analyst of Trainex Roy Zelenskiy commented:
"We expected that the figures will be high. Nowadays more and more people turn to Internet to make payments. In addition to that tendency the world crisis has made many people perceive the Internet not only as an informational platform but as a business platform and hence electronic currencies become more and more popular. We think that demand for exchange of e-currencies with Trainex grows not only because of the reasons stated above but also due to the decrease of confidence in newly appeared services that fail to fulfill their commitments. Work of such financial companies results in growth of people’s loyalty wishing to exchange e-currencies towards such leaders of the market as Trainex."
Trainex points that survey covered users from more than 74 countries of the world who used services of the exchange service.
